Al llegar al Colegio Madre Alberta de Fe y Alegr\u00eda, me sorprendi\u00f3 ver que un r\u00edo de aguas negras rodeaba al colegio y que incluso, para poder entrar, \u00a0hab\u00edan colocado \u00a0unas piedras. El ambiente era nauseabundo y las aguas negras hab\u00edan ya \u00a0comido gran parte de la avenida Car\u00fapano. Impresionado por la podredumbre, manifest\u00e9 mi asombro, y escuch\u00e9 este incre\u00edble relato:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEl brote de aguas negras comenz\u00f3 en diciembre de 2013,\u00a0 hace ya m\u00e1s de un a\u00f1o. Naci\u00f3 a la entrada del IAMSA, empresa de aseo dependiente de la Alcald\u00eda, y pronto las aguas bordearon \u00a0el Colegio. Visitamos \u00a0a la empresa IAMSA y nos \u00a0aseguraron que el problema \u00a0no depend\u00eda de ellos por estar fuera del port\u00f3n. Visitamos a Hidrocaribe y le enviamos varios oficios. Vinieron por fin un d\u00eda a revisar \u00a0y dijeron que la tuber\u00eda estaba rota y hab\u00eda que cambiarla, pero \u00a0que eso le correspond\u00eda a Obras P\u00fablicas. Visitamos al \u00a0\u00a0Director de Obras P\u00fablicas, le enviamos varios oficios y la respuesta fue que el problema deb\u00eda resolverlo Hidrocaribe.<\/p>\n<p>En marzo de 2014, la Sala de Batalla social \u00abSubversiva Caribe\u00bb se reuni\u00f3 con el Consejo Educativo del Colegio y envi\u00f3 un oficio al Alcalde de Cuman\u00e1, adjuntando fotos y un\u00a0 buen informe. En ese mismo mes visitamos al Gobernador sin ning\u00fan resultado. Para abordar el problema hicimos una \u00a0Asamblea de padres a la que invitamos a los \u00a0Consejos Comunales, a Hidrocaribe y a Obras \u00a0P\u00fablicas, aunque \u00e9stos dos \u00faltimos no asistieron. En el mes de julio enviamos un nuevo \u00a0oficio a Obras P\u00fablicas y volvieron a respondernos que el organismo rector en la materia era Hidrocaribe.<\/p>\n<p>A las plagas sufridas durante todo el a\u00f1o se uni\u00f3 un brote de dengue y de chicungunya en el barrio que afect\u00f3 a muchos ni\u00f1os y adultos de nuestra instituci\u00f3n. \u00a0En el mes de octubre el Gobernador inaugur\u00f3 unos \u00a0aparatos\u00a0 para los ni\u00f1os en la plaza que est\u00e1 junto a la Escuela, al lado del \u00a0brote de aguas negras. Asistimos a la inauguraci\u00f3n, mostramos nuestro malestar \u00a0y aprovechamos para conversar con el Gobernador que prometi\u00f3 \u00a0resolver el problema e incluso present\u00f3 d\u00edas despu\u00e9s \u00a0un proyecto a los consejos comunales empe\u00f1ando su palabra de que instalar\u00edan el colector en \u00a0enero.<\/p>\n<p>Como pas\u00f3 \u00a0enero y no lleg\u00f3 el \u00a0colector, a las siete a.m. del d\u00eda dos de febrero, alumnos, docentes,\u00a0 comunidad educativa y vecinos, cansados de tanta indolencia, \u00a0cortaron la avenida\u00a0 Car\u00fapano. \u00a0Se mantuvieron impasibles bajo un sol abrasador, sin pararle a las amenazas de algunos guardias que incluso llegaron a tirarles sus motos.\u00a0 Por fin, a las 11, 34,\u00a0 cuatro horas y media despu\u00e9s de que comenzara la toma, \u00a0lleg\u00f3 el secretario de gobierno \u00a0a negociar. Pidi\u00f3 que levantaran la toma bajo su palabra de que en la tarde enviar\u00eda las m\u00e1quinas. S\u00ed llegaron las m\u00e1quinas y empezaron de inmediato a trabajar.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEs muy triste todo esto, -concluye la Hermana directora- pero s\u00f3lo as\u00ed nos hacen caso Ojal\u00e1 cumplan.
